    Introduction

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, now known as MCPHS University, focuses its academic work on health and life sciences. Its programs range from undergraduate study to graduate degrees and professional education. Students can choose from more than 100 programs across more than two dozen fields, including pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, acupuncture, dental hygiene, public health, medical and molecular biology, and premedical health studies.

Learning combines classrooms, laboratories, and clinics with professional experiences. Faculty members work across areas such as psychology, acupuncture, public health, and graphic medicine, while research includes pregnancy-induced hypertension and other health-related topics. Students may also take part in technology-focused projects addressing challenges identified by local community health centers. Professional education programs provide flexible options for organizations and employees seeking further study in health and life sciences.

MCPHS has campuses in Boston, Worcester, and Manchester, New Hampshire. The Boston campus offers access to a city setting, with events including a campus life fair, career fairs, and welcome activities for new students. Students and families can work with the university on financial planning, and financial aid is available to many students. Across its campuses, MCPHS offers an academic environment centered on teaching, student success, health care, and efforts to create a healthier, more equitable world.

    About the Program

Students complete three years of undergraduate study in Boston, focusing on medical sciences, healthcare policies, and human development. They then transition to Manchester or Worcester campuses to complete a master's program with hands-on work in simulation labs. The program prepares students to restore patients' ability to perform daily tasks through clinical practice. Graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam for occupational therapists.

The program requires 150 credits total, with 90 credits for the BS portion and 60 credits for the MSOT portion. Students complete coursework, a health sciences practicum, and advanced clinical training in simulation laboratories.

Graduates work as licensed occupational therapists in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and outpatient clinics.

Applicants must submit an OTCAS application, meet a minimum GPA requirement, and complete prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, and psychology. Admission to the MSOT phase is competitive and based on academic performance and application materials.

The programme totals about 150 credit hours. On-campus, full-time, five years total with a 3+2 structure. For international students, tuition is around the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 85% of applicants.
