Olympic Studies

At German Sport University Cologne, tuition is EUR 5,000 for two years.

The M.A. Olympic Studies is an interdisciplinary, part-time continuing-education programme providing knowledge of the Olympic Movement, delivered by a core network of international partner universities: German Sport University Cologne, Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Canterbury (New Zealand), Kiel University (Germany), Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), and the Scottish Centre of Olympic Research and Education (SCORE) at the University of Edinburgh. International partner faculty teach seminars on sport governance, values and ethics, international relations, athlete representation, and media/commercialisation.

The programme carries official IOC patronage and support, and Olympic Solidarity has adopted it into its Quadrennial Plan, financially supporting candidates nominated by their National Olympic Committees. It is aimed at professionals, athletes and executives working in organised sport, international sport organisations, media, education, and sport-related agencies.
