Students who enjoy the challenge of oral surgery will benefit from the guidance of Dr Matsumoto, whose expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery is evident in his research on the mechanisms of proliferation and progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma.

In addition, Dr Matsumoto's accreditation as a Japan Stomatological Society-certified physician and his Rising Scientist Award from the 76th Annual Meeting of the NPO Japan Society for Oral Science further attest to his authority in this field.

Students will delve into key modules such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, and gain experience of the clinical setting, including experience with patients aged 80 and above. They will also tackle the intricacies of disease management in individuals with specific conditions, such as diabetes and multiple oral lichen planus.
