With 9 credits for modules like Geometria Descrittiva per il Design Industriale and a focus on the intersection of art and industry, students develop a deep understanding of the relationship between form and function, honing skills in both traditional and digital design techniques. The curriculum is structured to cultivate a broad range of abilities, from technical drawing and digital modeling to project management and critical analysis. Basic Design is a key first-year module which teaches students to observe and analyze the physical world, fostering an appreciation for design principles. This programme prepares students not only for further academic pursuits but also for practical applications in the design industry, ensuring a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The curriculum integrates projects and real-world applications, ensuring students are equipped to tackle complex design challenges, from conceptual development to final production. Students engage with both historical and contemporary design movements, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of design and its impact on society. The programme culminates in a project where students apply their learning to solve a real-world design problem, demonstrating their ability to design and manufacture a viable product.
