Students engage in close reading and analysis of philosophical texts, constructing and defending reasoned arguments in writing and discussion. They explore questions about human identity, the nature of reality, and moral responsibility through historical and contemporary perspectives. The programme emphasizes critical thinking and the ability to evaluate complex ideas across cultural and historical contexts. Courses include sustained study of non-Western philosophies and marginalized voices in philosophical discourse.

Focus areas include Environmental Ethics, Philosophy of Law, Reparations and Responsibility, Philosophy of Film, Metaphysics, Biomedical Ethics.
