Master in Photography (MA)

For MA Photography, tuition is 9,960 EUR per year.

The MA programme in Photography at SRH University Berlin is a state-recognised degree that allows students to develop their photographic practice in relation to theoretical concepts and philosophical questions. The programme draws connections between photographic and creative practice across cultural, social, and historical contexts, encouraging students to question established ways of thinking and to build individual visual languages. It also examines media and its functions, with sufficient flexibility for each student to find their own photographic orientation. The four-semester curriculum moves through a progression of thematic areas. The first semester focuses on orientation and encounters with the medium. The second semester addresses image, object, and boundaries of the medium through printed matter and photo books. The third semester expands into spatial practice and interdisciplinary approaches. The fourth and final semester is devoted to the Master's colloquium and thesis. Intake is in both winter and summer semesters. Yearly tuition is 9,960 EUR. The programme is based at SRH University in Berlin, Germany.
