The Photography program at American University of Sharjah is a 3-year non-degree course for students who want to improve their artistic communication skills through photography. It helps students develop a professional portfolio and is ideal for those passionate about visual storytelling. The program combines technical instruction with creative exploration.

The curriculum covers the history of photography, photojournalism, and practical studio experiences. Students learn to produce their own photographic works and receive guidance from experienced faculty. This hands-on approach builds essential skills relevant in today's creative industries, including technical skills and creative exploration.

Graduates can pursue job titles like professional photographer, photojournalist, or studio manager. They may find opportunities in media companies, advertising agencies, or as freelance artists. The skills acquired are transferable, allowing graduates to adapt to different roles within the creative sector, such as photography editor or art director.
