Master in Political science

Tuition comes to 8,000 PLN per year.

This master's programme in Political Science, specialising in International Political and Economic Relations, at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn runs four semesters and is taught in English, with annual tuition of 8000 PLN, based in Olsztyn, Poland. Building on first-degree studies, the programme extends students' interdisciplinary knowledge of international relations, with particular attention to international economic, social, political, and legal issues. Graduates are expected to analyse the attitudes and behaviours of participants in political processes, along with their mutual relations and interactions with other actors in social life, applying knowledge and skills that support independent, in-depth analysis and synthesis of processes occurring in public life. The curriculum covers both the theory and practice of international relations, as well as the theory and practice of political and economic decision-making. Students develop analytic and methodological skills suited to positions requiring conscious, rational, and accurate assessment and judgment, alongside habits of personal responsibility and initiative. The programme also aims to instil habits of lifelong education and professional development, preparing graduates to take on research challenges and, where they choose, to continue toward third-degree, or doctoral, study. Political science at this level typically draws on economics, law, and international affairs to explain how states and other actors interact across borders. Olsztyn, located in northeastern Poland, hosts the University of Warmia and Mazury, and the English-medium format of the four-semester programme makes it accessible to international students seeking graduate training in international political and economic relations without requiring prior Polish language study.
