The Bachelor's Politikwissenschaft programme at the University of Bamberg starts with

Introduction to Comparative Politics

, which introduces students to the systematic comparison of political systems, institutions, and processes.

Politikwissenschaft covers many aspects, from populism to climate crises. The programme teaches students to analyse complex questions, think critically, and choose their own areas of focus. The compulsory internship (for students taking 150 or 180 ECTS) provides valuable practical experience, and the International Office supports students interested in studying abroad. The friendly and supportive environment encourages open discussion and personal advice. The programme is ideal for those with an interest in politics, a knack for analysis, and no fear of statistics. The faculty is highly active in research and offers a broad range of courses, from political theory to digital politics, taught by experts in the field.
