Bachelor in Power engineering

Tuition costs 4,500 EUR per year, and the application deadline for Bachelor in Power engineering is Jul 21, 2027.

The bachelor's programme in Power Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology runs seven semesters and is taught in English, with annual tuition of 4500 EUR, based in Warszawa, Poland. The first year focuses on mathematics, physics, mechanics, thermodynamics, and computer science, building the foundation for later engineering coursework. Core subjects in the second year include fundamentals of mechanical design, control engineering, and a foreign language. Students then move into advanced thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer theory of heat machines, electric machines, electronics, fundamentals of combustion processes and fuels, the theory of flow machines, and electric power systems. The third year is more specialised, covering thermal power systems, energy sources and energy conversion, technologies of environmental protection, renewable energy systems, control of heat processes, turbines, pumps, steam boilers, reciprocating engines, and heat pumps. In the 3.5-year programme, the last half of the final year is devoted to supervised work on the engineering diploma thesis. The programme aims to establish solid fundamental engineering knowledge during the first year before moving students deeply into the subject matter of the field. Graduates are prepared to work in industry and to solve engineering problems, with broad knowledge spanning thermal engineering, electrical power engineering, information technologies, and economics. The curriculum is designed to give graduates the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable development of energy sources, environmentally responsible energy production, and the transmission of electrical power, positioning them for roles across conventional and renewable power sectors in Poland and internationally, or for continued study at master's level in power or electrical engineering.

Warsaw University of Technology is the premier technical research university in Poland, combining a rich 200-year history with cutting-edge innovation. It is consistently ranked as the top engineering school in the country, attracting the brightest minds from across the globe.
