After completing Year 1 you receive one year of Fourth Class qualifying time credit from the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan, preparing you for the Fourth Class exam. The two-year Power Engineering Technology diploma builds on that foundation, covering operation and maintenance of industrial power plants, boilers, pumps, HVAC and water-treatment systems. Learning blends classroom theory with hands-on labs, computer simulations and industry work placements, ensuring graduates can contribute from day one.

The programme suits candidates who have completed Grade 12 with Foundations of Math 30 or Pre-Calculus 30 and meet a 65 % average. It prepares students for roles such as power engineer, plant operator or building-systems operator in utilities, refineries, mines or manufacturing. Successful graduates also obtain credit toward TSASK class certifications and can ladder into a Bachelor of Applied Management with two additional years of study.
