Bachelor in Praxisphasen (bachelor)

The Bachelor in Social Work at Hochschule Osnabrück provides a mentoring programme in the second and third semesters.

This programme is distinctive for its integration of practical experience through curricular, three-year periods: the Mentorenprogramm in the second and third semesters, the Praxisprojekt in the fourth and fifth, and the Wissenschaftliches Praxisprojekt in the sixth. These give students opportunities to connect theoretical learning with practical skills, developing the necessary competencies for a career in social work.

Students develop professional skills, reflect on their role, and enhance their ability to conduct scientific research in social work, supported by a regular exchange between the university and external institutions. Students also have access to a Praxisleitfaden Soziale Arbeit, a comprehensive guide detailing the content, process, and assessment criteria for these three practical phases.

Through this programme, students also have the opportunity to participate in the annual Praxismarkt Soziale Arbeit, an event that connects students with potential employers and provides networking opportunities.
