The Master of Legal Studies is an online programme delivered in 8-week synchronous cycles with scheduled class times and due dates. It provides foundational knowledge of the U.S. legal system, including government, history, and legal terminology. The programme is taught from a Christian worldview and focuses on understanding legal documents, proceedings, and rights. Students engage with statutes, cases, and legal memoranda to build practical legal literacy.

Focus areas include Ministry, Advocacy, and the Law, Nonprofit Administration, Paralegal.

The programme requires 30 units of coursework, with all courses delivered online in 8-week cycles. There is no dissertation, practicum, or capstone requirement.

Graduates enter roles in nonprofit management, legal support, ministry-related advocacy, and paralegal work.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Official transcripts and two letters of recommendation are required. The GRE is not required.

The programme totals about 30 credit hours. Online, synchronous, full-time or part-time, 8-week terms, typically completed in two years. For international students, tuition is well below the median for US programmes.

Trinity Law School prepares students for legal work through coursework, internships, and structured bar support. Partnerships provide more than 35 internship opportunities in Orange County and Los Angeles County, allowing students to gain practical experience in the field. The On Course program runs alongside coursework and provides preparation for the California bar exam. Small class sizes and a supportive Christian environment shape the student experience.

Academic offerings include a Juris Doctor that can be completed online, on campus, or through a combination of both. The Master of Legal Studies provides a general degree with optional tracks, including Ministry, Advocacy, and the Law, Nonprofit Administration, and Paralegal studies. The degree is aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management HR Curriculum Guidebook and Template. Research and teaching extend through the Center for Human Rights and the Center for Public Legal Theology. The Center for Human Rights also sponsors international courses in Europe and Cambodia.

Located at 2200 N. Grand Ave. in Santa Ana, Trinity Law School is in Orange County, California. Its mission connects legal education with the Christian legal tradition, service to clients, and the common good. International applicants must have foreign transcripts evaluated by an agency approved by the California State Bar. Applicants whose first language is not English must submit TOEFL results unless English proficiency can be demonstrated. Study at the school may not qualify graduates for licensure outside California.
