The Psychology program investigates the neurobiological, emotional, cognitive, developmental, and social factors that shape human lives. It offers a strong foundation in behavioral research methods and experimental training, covering content areas such as behavioral neuroscience, abnormal psychology, health, and child development. Students apply theory to practice through independent research, public presentations, and publications.

Graduates transition into careers in social work, therapy, addiction counseling, and work with children and families, or pursue roles such as school psychologists, pharmaceutical researchers, industrial/organizational psychologists, clinical psychologists, college professors, and lawyers.

For international students, tuition is well above the median for US programmes. The institution admits about 87% of applicants.

Ursinus College builds its academic experience around undergraduate research and collaborative learning. Students work with faculty on projects such as soil health, materials science, whale research, and the physiological adaptations associated with strength and conditioning programs and competitive sport. Academic options also include music, media and communications studies, and business-related study. A new sports management major launches in fall 2026, combining business fundamentals with the cultural and organizational dynamics of sport.

Applied learning connects coursework with professional preparation. Through APEX, students take part in experiential opportunities, career development, and innovation centers such as the Civic Spark Policy Lab and the Sports and Humanity Hub. First-year students can build career skills during Experiential Learning Week, which includes more than 50 on- and off-campus professional shadowing opportunities. The Bloomberg Lab in Myrin Library supports student financial research and professional preparation.

Students study and live in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, with opportunities to participate in nearly 100 clubs and organizations, Greek life, music ensembles, and leadership activities. International students can pursue internships, service learning, research, and field work overseas through faculty-led programs and direct enrollment global partnerships. The college also connects students with opportunities beyond campus, including work in Montgomery County and visits to Philadelphia-area organizations.
