Bachelor in Psychology (BSc)

The Bachelor's programme in Psychology at Leuphana University Lüneburg spans six semesters and covers the principal branches of the discipline: general psychology, biological psychology, differential psychology, developmental psychology, and social psychology. Students also develop skills in empirical research and psychological diagnostic methods, including statistical data evaluation, the design and conduct of psychological experiments, and the development and use of diagnostic tests. The programme follows the Leuphana study model, which begins with the Leuphana Semester — a first semester providing broad engagement with science as a practice. A minor subject and a complementary studies component run alongside the psychology major, offering room to explore additional fields of knowledge. The dissertation and a practical placement are completed in the sixth semester. Graduates can continue to a Master's programme in Psychology or enter non-clinical professional fields such as consultancy, advertising and marketing, or human resources.
