    Introduction

Campus life at Keystone centers on a close-knit community with more than 20 clubs and organizations, nine instrumental and voice ensembles, and 19 Division III varsity teams. Students can join athletics, community service, performance music, leadership opportunities, and other activities. The college also creates opportunities to learn about different cultures and lifestyles. Its Woodlands Campus includes seven miles of trails, while dining, study areas, computer labs, and student spaces support daily life on campus.

Keystone’s academic experience combines degree study with structured advising and career preparation. The college offers more than 50 degree options, along with graduate and online programs. Its Stairs to Success plan guides traditional undergraduate students through orientation, first-year seminars, major exploration, advising, activities, internships, service learning, senior experiences, and job or graduate-school searches. Students use resources such as academic advisors, the Student Success Center, Handshake, Moodle, and academic maps. The Keystone Promise connects completion of these steps with a pledge of a job offer or acceptance into a transfer or graduate program within six months of graduation.

Keystone College was founded in 1868 and occupies a private 276-acre campus in the Endless Mountains region. La Plume is 20 minutes from Scranton, with access to Wilkes-Barre and larger metropolitan areas. International students should expect a rural setting rather than a city campus, with campus activities and services forming the main social setting. Academic pathways can also connect classroom learning with professional preparation, including a Pennsylvania State Police program that allows eligible senior students in bachelor’s programs to earn credit through cadet training.
