Evangel University brings together students who want to connect Christian faith with academics and daily life. Students come from a wide range of Christian denominational backgrounds, and campus life includes chapel service, athletics, theatre performances, residence-hall activities, and opportunities to gather, study, and pray. The Daryl and Lois Flood Residence Hall, completed in 2026, houses 224 students in 116 rooms. Its four floors include gathering areas, a community kitchen, television and games rooms, study spaces, a movie theatre room, and campus views. It is the first new residence hall at Evangel in 40 years. The university describes itself as a liberal arts institution with academic programs in professional fields. Areas available through its programs include accounting, allied health, applied biology, applied mathematics, applied physics, sustainability, art, communication, digital media, business, education, psychology, sociology, theology, and biblical studies. Course offerings include biology with a laboratory, macroeconomics, literature, American history, college algebra, philosophy, public speaking, and the psychology of healthy relationships. Evangel also includes the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and offers undergraduate on-campus, undergraduate online, graduate, online certificate, dual-enrollment, and seminary study. Located in Springfield, Missouri, the university combines residential campus life with online study options. International students should expect a setting where faith, learning, and personal development are closely connected, with academic and community experiences shaped by Christian commitments.
