Lodz University of Technology delivers a bachelor's programme titled Science and Technology, known on campus as Modelling and Data Science, in English in Łódź, Poland, running four years with a yearly tuition of PLN 16000. The programme is built around data science and computer modelling, drawing on both fundamental laws of nature and large-scale data analysis. Students gain advanced competences in information technology and beyond it, including computer simulations, modern physics, photonics, laser technologies, and quantum calculations. Instruction covers programming in languages such as Python and C++, methods for working with large data sets, and the basics of artificial intelligence. Courses in fields where data analysis plays a central role, such as materials physics or photonics, are paired with soft-skills training including teamwork. Graduates leave equipped to work as specialists in process modelling, data analysis, computer material design, and computer simulation, addressing questions at the intersection of the IT sector and the physical sciences rather than web development alone. The curriculum targets emerging fields such as machine learning and industry 4.0, alongside established areas of computational science, reflecting the university's positioning within technology and engineering education in Łódź. The four-year format allows the programme to build technical depth gradually, moving from foundational mathematics, physics, and programming toward applied data science and modelling projects. Graduates are prepared for roles across the technology, research, and manufacturing sectors, wherever organisations need staff able to combine domain-based scientific models with modern computational and statistical tools.
