Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği

Tuition costs 9,000 USD per year.

Science Teaching prepares students to teach general science, typically covering biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science, to students at the primary and secondary levels. The curriculum blends foundational coursework across the natural sciences with education-focused training in pedagogy, curriculum design, laboratory teaching methods, and student assessment. Students learn how to plan lessons that make scientific concepts accessible, design and supervise hands-on laboratory activities, and adapt teaching methods to different age groups and learning styles, often supported by coursework in educational psychology and classroom management. Supervised teaching practice in real schools is a standard part of the program, giving future teachers direct experience applying theory in the classroom before graduation. Graduates typically go on to teach science in primary or middle schools, and the combination of scientific literacy and pedagogical training also supports work in science curriculum development, educational publishing, and informal science education settings such as museums. This bachelor's program is taught in English over 4 years at Boğaziçi University, located in İstanbul, Turkey. Delivering the program in English gives future teachers strong command of scientific terminology and international teaching resources published in English, alongside broader academic benefits associated with English-medium instruction at a research-oriented university. Boğaziçi University is one of Turkey's most established public universities, and its İstanbul campus provides a strong science and education faculty environment for this program. Across the four years, coursework generally progresses from core science subjects and educational theory toward supervised classroom teaching practice, preparing graduates to enter the classroom as qualified science teachers.
