About the Program

The SEPT MBA is a two-year programme focused on promoting and developing small and medium-sized enterprises and building entrepreneurship knowledge. The curriculum draws on the German Mittelstand model and addresses challenges such as identifying growth and innovation opportunities within SMEs and developing strategies to promote them. The programme runs over 4 semesters starting in the winter semester, with annual tuition fees of 3,000 EUR. The first semester covers the foundations of economics and development, entrepreneurship management, and business model development. The second semester offers elective modules in innovation management, marketing, SME finance, competence development, or an internship of at least six weeks, alongside a compulsory module in research methodology and project management. The third semester is devoted to field research, and the fourth to the Master's colloquium, advanced data analysis, and submission of the Master's thesis. The curriculum includes real-world case studies drawn from the programme's connections with SMEs worldwide, and faculty includes both resident and visiting lecturers. Graduates are prepared for roles supporting SMEs, fostering entrepreneurs, and taking on decision-making positions, particularly in knowledge-intensive business services.
