Master in Smart Mobility

Smart Mobility students tackle problems like traffic congestion, environmental pollution, and limited urban space. This Master of Science (M.Sc.) is based at the Innovation Hub in Potsdam, near Berlin.

In the Smart Cities & Urban Mobility module, students explore how cities can be improved through intelligent and sustainable transport systems, including connected vehicles, smart traffic management, and mobility platforms. The curriculum covers traffic flow theory, modelling, and simulation, as well as data analysis and big data for mobility system optimisation.

Students may also take part in 100+ collaborations with companies like DHL, Canon, and BASF. The programme is taught entirely in English and can be completed in 2, 3, or 4 semesters, with a total of 60, 90, or 120 ECTS. The course begins in either September or March each year.
