Its Christian heritage is connected to the Reformed Church in America, while its community welcomes students of all faiths and no faith. Students come from 35 states and territories and 36 countries, creating an international mix within a close campus community.

Academic options include 91 majors, minors and pre-professional programs, supported by an 11:1 student-faculty ratio. Students can take part in undergraduate research, creative projects and experiential learning across disciplines. The Department of Economics and Business offers study in accounting, business, economics, finance, marketing and human resources, along with co-curricular programs in entrepreneurship, leadership and vocational discernment. Arts programs, 22 varsity sports and more than 80 student organizations add to campus life.

Hope’s campus sits in the heart of downtown Holland, close to Lake Michigan beaches. Historic buildings such as Van Vleck Hall stand near newer academic facilities, and the campus connects directly with the city. International applicants submit an application, secondary school transcript, post-secondary transcripts, an Annual Financial Support Form and evidence of English proficiency. Hope also offers more than 300 off-campus study programs for students who want academic experience beyond Michigan.
