Leveraging the unique combination of part-time study and practical experience, the Social Work Deeltijd programme at HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen enables you to earn a bachelor's degree while continuing your work. With a strong emphasis on practical application, you'll undertake real-life casuïstiek assignments at your workplace, focusing on three core areas: supporting people with addiction, mental health issues, debts, or disabilities; fostering strong social networks and communities; and providing tailored care to individuals across all ages and life stages.

As a social worker, you'll play a crucial role in connecting people, enhancing their social functioning and self-reliance, and advancing an inclusive society.

The programme's flexible structure allows you to start your studies during the first year as a volunteer or through a relevant internship. From the second year onwards, you'll need a suitable workplace to complete your assignments, with a minimum of 640 hours of work required in the first year and 800 hours per year thereafter. Choose from three specializations – Welzijn en Samenleving, Jeugd- en Gezinsprofessional, or Zorg – and tailor your studies to your professional interests and goals.
