    Introduction

Beloit College brings together students who learn from one another and from the world around them. Its campus community values individual perspectives, lasting connections, and involvement beyond the classroom. Students can join more than 50 organizations, create events, participate in athletics, and contribute to Beloit through community programs such as Impact Beloit Community Fellows. The surrounding city also offers opportunities with local organizations, cultural events, and the Beloit Sky Carp minor league baseball team.

Academic work is organized around a flexible curriculum supported by trusted advisors and mentors. Beloit’s Schools connect majors and coursework with professional opportunities, including specialized skills development, certifications, internships, and job experiences. Students have worked individually with faculty in the Logan Museum lab, combined theory and practice in Studio Art, explored environmental justice through field courses in Minnesota, and studied public policy through economics, quantitative methods, policy analysis, and contemporary global issues. Personal initiatives, mentored research, and study abroad are part of the college’s approach to preparation after graduation.

Students arriving from abroad become part of a community that includes people from different backgrounds and experiences. International students have continued athletic and academic careers at Beloit, while others have used study abroad to develop language skills. The college is test-optional, and 98% of students receive gift aid. Beloit also reports that 93% of graduates are employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months, reflecting the role of internships, study abroad, research, and career-focused experiences in the student journey.
