Bachelor in Software Engineering

At Cyprus International University, tuition fees are 7,100 EUR per year.

This Software Engineering program covers the principles and practices used to design, build, and maintain software applications, including programming, data structures, algorithms, database systems, and software development methodologies. Students typically begin with foundational courses in mathematics and programming before advancing to topics such as software architecture, web and mobile application development, testing, and project management, frequently through hands-on coding assignments and collaborative projects. The discipline emphasizes structured approaches to building software, including documenting requirements, designing systems that can scale and be maintained, and validating that software behaves as intended. Given how central software has become to nearly every industry, from banking to logistics to media, graduates with this training are broadly employable. Typical roles include application developer, backend or frontend engineer, quality assurance specialist, and technical analyst, with the program also serving as preparation for further study in computer science or software engineering. The bachelor's degree spans 4 years and is delivered in English. It is offered by Cyprus International University, located in Lefkoşa, Northern Cyprus, where students can access computing facilities used for programming coursework and applied projects. Across the four years, the program generally moves from general computing fundamentals toward specialized software development coursework and practical team-based work, mirroring how software is built in professional settings. Learning in an English-medium environment in Lefkoşa also familiarizes students with the technical terminology and collaborative practices commonly used throughout the international software development industry.
