Software Engineering focuses on the systematic design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. Students study programming languages, data structures and algorithms, software architecture, database systems, and software development methodologies, along with practical work in areas such as web and mobile application development. Coursework typically builds from core programming and mathematics through subjects like software design patterns, project management, and quality assurance, often including team-based development projects that simulate real software products. Graduates work as software developers, systems analysts, quality assurance engineers, and technical project leads across technology, finance, healthcare, and other sectors that rely on custom software. This bachelor's program runs for 4 years and is taught in English at Istanbul Health and Technology University, located in Istanbul, Turkey. English-medium instruction gives students access to the programming resources, frameworks, and documentation used throughout the global software industry. Istanbul's growing technology sector offers opportunities for internships and early industry engagement. The program aims to build strong programming fundamentals together with practical experience in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
