This 4 years program is taught in English at Istanbul Atlas University in İstanbul, Turkey. Software Engineering covers the systematic design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. Students study programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, databases, software architecture, operating systems, computer networks, and the project management practices used to build reliable applications. Coursework combines theoretical foundations with hands-on programming projects, often including teamwork on larger software products that mirror how development teams operate in industry, from requirements gathering through testing and deployment. Students also encounter version control, software design patterns, and quality assurance methods that support maintainable code as systems grow in size and complexity. Elective coursework may extend into areas such as mobile development, web systems, or artificial intelligence, letting students tailor their studies toward a particular specialization. Graduates are prepared for roles such as software developer, systems analyst, quality assurance engineer, and technical project lead, and the training also supports further study in computer science or related technical fields. Studying at Istanbul Atlas University places students in İstanbul, giving access to the wider academic and professional environment of the city while completing a program structured around the standard progression expected for this field. Over the course of the 4 years program, students move from foundational coursework toward more applied and specialized study, building toward the bachelor qualification awarded on completion at Istanbul Atlas University.
