About Bachelor in Soziale Arbeit

The programme offers an integrated practical semester within its 7-semester structure (including a 6-month placement) and 210 ECTS credits.

Soziale Arbeit students learn how to support individuals around social issues, such as addiction, family care, refugee experiences, debt, or homelessness. They gain expertise in social pedagogy and related fields, developing social and self-competencies. Upon graduation, students are entitled to use the professional title 'Staatlich anerkannte Sozialpädagogin' or 'Staatlich anerkannter Sozialpädagoge'.

Students take part in Mentoratsgruppen led by higher-semester students and have the opportunity to pursue a Begleitstudium (additional qualification) in Management in sozialen Organisationen or Person- und erfahrungsorientierte Beratung, after completing the practical semester. Students can study abroad or complete a dual degree programme.
