Sports Study Skills 1 (5 credits) develops interpersonal and transferable skills through professional practice and computer applications relevant to the sport, exercise and rehabilitation sector. The first year introduces core subjects such as Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology I, Health Related Physical Activity and Sport, Leisure & Society, providing a solid scientific and social grounding.

In the second year students build on this base with modules like Exercise Prescription and Programme Design and Sports Coaching Leadership, while further anatomy and physiology modules deepen understanding of body systems and their response to training. Study Skills 2 enhances communication, presentation and reflective practice, preparing learners to design safe exercise programmes, deliver coaching sessions and evaluate performance.
