Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport offers a bachelor's programme in Sport science, delivered in English in Gdańsk, Poland, over 3 years, starting 2026-10-01 with an application deadline of 2026-10-09 and a yearly tuition of EUR 2800. The programme, focused on Physical Education with a major in Sport, centres on human motor skills, giving students an interdisciplinary understanding of physical culture alongside the specific characteristics of individual sports disciplines. As the only sports university in Pomerania, GUPES combines theoretical and practical instruction from recognized scientists and specialists relevant to the programme, together with coaches of Olympic and national teams and accomplished athletes. The programme suits students who want to combine a sports career with academic study across various aspects of sport. Students learn current training trends and gain practical knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of training within a chosen sport, with the opportunity to obtain coaching and instructor qualifications. Within the field, students select a specialisation from a range designed around labour-market needs, and can supplement it with additional specialisations offered by the university. During the studies, students choose one of the university's coaching specialisations and take up at least 1 additional specialisation, of an instructor-oriented type. Graduates are prepared for careers as coaches, instructors, and specialists working with athletes and sport organisations, drawing on a curriculum that pairs classroom learning in sport science with direct exposure to elite-level coaching expertise. The 3-year bachelor's format gives students a foundation in both the academic and applied sides of sport before progressing to further specialisation or professional practice.
