Master in Sports, Exercise and Human Performance

Münster, Germany Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

The Master of Science in Sports, Exercise and Human Performance at the University of Münster is a research-focused, four-semester programme with a capacity of 20 students per cohort. It is built around scientific methods, internationally used standards in sport and exercise science, and field-specific competencies in leadership and communication, without implicating sport-specific practices. The first two semesters cover three mandatory areas: sport psychology, human movement science, and training and performance sciences, each taught through both theoretical and applied courses, alongside statistics, methods, and market skills. From the third semester, students choose a topic for specialisation and explore it in depth. Research projects and international internships can be selected individually and are closely connected with one another. The programme is designed for students with a background in natural and behavioural sciences, including medical aspects of sports and human movement, and requires existing methodological knowledge in experimental and field research. It starts in the winter semester at the University of Münster in Münster, Germany.
