STAR Beauty

The STAR Beauty course at UCOL is designed for secondary school learners who are interested in exploring the beauty industry. This non-degree program runs for five weeks, with classes held one day per week. It provides a practical introduction to beauty therapy techniques, making it ideal for students who are curious about cosmetics and skincare.

Throughout the course, students will learn about current fashion trends and the history of beauty therapy. The curriculum includes practical skills such as manicures, makeup application, and skincare treatments. This hands-on experience helps students gain confidence and prepares them for further studies in beauty-related fields.

Upon completion, students can pursue additional qualifications such as the New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy or the New Zealand Certificate in Nail Technology. Graduates may find job opportunities as beauty therapists, makeup artists, or skincare specialists, with skills that are transferable across various roles in the beauty and wellness industry.
