STAR Te Ao Haka Performing Arts

The STAR Te Ao Haka Performing Arts course is designed for secondary learners interested in exploring the art of haka. This Level 2 program takes place at UCOL Wairarapa in Masterton and runs for six weeks, with classes held every Wednesday. It's ideal for students who are passionate about performing arts and want to gain practical skills in a supportive environment.

Throughout the course, students will learn essential skills related to haka, including its cultural significance and performance techniques. The program is structured to provide hands-on experience, allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively. By the end of the course, participants will earn Unit Standard 13371, which recognizes their achievement in this traditional art form.
