The process involves a detailed assessment of the foreign qualification to ensure it meets the necessary legal, organisational, and financial requirements for state recognition in Germany. A key aspect of this process is the possibility of completing an Anpassungslehrgang, a theoretical and practical qualification that can last between 12 and 36 months. This qualification includes modules such as Einführung in die rechtlichen Grundlagen der Sozialen Arbeit and Sozialrecht für die Soziale Arbeit, as well as a minimum six-month practical training period.
