Master in Summer Prerequisite Studies Masters Programmes

At Roskilde University, tuition fees are 5,250 DKK per year.

Bridging the gap between a prior academic background and the specific competencies required for advanced study is a fundamental challenge for many prospective graduate students. At Roskilde University, the summer prerequisite studies offer a strategic pathway for applicants who possess a relevant bachelor's degree but lack specific essential qualifications amounting to no more than 10 ECTS points.

This initiative is designed to ensure academic readiness, allowing students to fulfill necessary requirements through intensive study activities held during July and August. By successfully completing these modules, participants are guaranteed a place in their chosen master's programme. This bridge is not a standalone degree but a conditional admission mechanism, ensuring that every student entering the master's level possesses a uniform foundation for success.

Programme Delivery and Structure

The prerequisite studies represent a full-time academic commitment throughout the summer months. The pedagogical approach is highly immersive, combining:

• Lectures, seminar discussions, and collaborative group work.
• Case-based learning and the production of empirical data.
• Rigorous self-study facilitated through Moodle, requiring consistent online access and the completion of mandatory exercises.

Please note that this option is restricted to certain master's programmes and is not available to non-EU/EEA citizens requiring a study-based residence permit for this specific period.
