About the Program

This six-semester Bachelor's programme provides technical knowledge, theoretical grounding, and laboratory skills in sustainable chemistry. Students develop the ability to evaluate chemical syntheses and processing methods, understand the fate of chemicals and their toxicological effects on the environment and human health, and assess chemical syntheses and material production against the UN's sustainability goals, the principles of green chemistry, and the basic principles of life cycle assessment. Teaching is delivered by professors, experienced researchers, and industrial scientists, and incorporates problem-based learning sessions alongside lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory courses. English language courses are integrated into the programme. The programme starts in the winter semester and is offered at the University of Wuppertal in Wuppertal, Germany.
