Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Reo Rua)

The Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Reo Rua) program is designed for students who have an intermediate understanding of te reo Māori. This one-year, part-time course is perfect for those looking to enhance their language skills in a supportive environment. Classes are held at UCOL Manawatū and UCOL Wairarapa, making it accessible for students in these regions.

Throughout the program, students will engage in various subjects that focus on advanced intermediate-level te reo Māori. The curriculum includes summarising and presenting information, evaluating ideas, and practical language use in workplace contexts. Students will also participate in four noho marae, which provide immersive cultural experiences that deepen their understanding of te ao Māori.

Graduates of this program can pursue further studies in Te Reo, such as the Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki) Te Kaupae 5. The skills gained will be valuable in various sectors, including education, community services, and public administration.
