The tuition fee is 535,800 JPY per year.

The Global Scientists and Engineers Program, known as GSEP, is a four-year bachelor's degree at Institute of Science Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan, taught in English with admission each April. Institute of Science Tokyo, also called Science Tokyo, was established on October 1, 2024, through the merger of Tokyo Institute of Technology, founded in 1881, and Tokyo Medical and Dental University, founded in 1928, under the stated mission of advancing science and human wellbeing to create value for and with society. The university combines specialized science and engineering education with training in liberal arts and broader skills. GSEP is structured for students pursuing foundational training across the natural sciences and engineering before specializing further, typically covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, and core engineering principles alongside research exposure in the early undergraduate years. A program of this kind gives students grounding across multiple technical disciplines, allowing them to identify a specific engineering or science field to pursue in later years or in graduate study, while also developing the communication and problem-solving skills needed to work on interdisciplinary projects. Graduates from broad-based science and engineering undergraduate programs go on to further study in specialized fields, as well as roles in technology companies, engineering firms, and research organizations. Tokyo's concentration of technology and research institutions offers GSEP students access to internships and connections aligned with science and engineering careers. Because instruction is delivered in English, international students can complete the four-year degree without first requiring Japanese language proficiency, joining a university formed from the 2024 merger of two established Japanese institutions.
