Trauma-informed counselling

The Trauma-informed counselling course is for counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees looking to develop an understanding of trauma and trauma-informed practices. This one-year non-degree program is taught in English and focuses on key aspects of trauma and its impact on individuals.

The curriculum covers concepts such as power relations, intersectionality theory, and self-care in trauma work. Students will develop skills in trauma-informed approaches and self-awareness through six units of online study.

Graduates can pursue roles such as Trauma Counsellor, Mental Health Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Counselling Service Manager, or Trauma Support Worker in mental health and counselling settings.
