Master in Us813

At Technological University of the Shannon, tuition is 12,000 EUR per year.

Bridging the gap between raw artistic talent and a sustainable professional career, this programme is designed for performers who view music as both a passion and a viable business. It is for those who want to command the stage, master the technical demands of live sound, or navigate the complex logistics of the modern events industry.

Unlike traditional conservatoire training, this degree focuses on the practical realities of the industry. You will develop a multifaceted skill set that includes stagecraft, live sound reinforcement, event management, and the entrepreneurial acumen required to thrive as a freelancer or industry professional. The curriculum is deeply rooted in real-world application, ensuring that students treat every project—from small-scale gigs to large productions—as a professional engagement.

Industry-Integrated Learning

The programme avoids purely theoretical study, instead prioritising hands-on engagement through:

• Regular masterclasses and guest lectures from active musicians, sound engineers, and production managers.
• Live performance projects that mirror real-world gigging and touring scenarios.
• Training in industry-standard sound systems, stage logistics, and contract management.
• Networking opportunities that begin in the first year, allowing you to build a professional identity and portfolio before graduation.

By focusing on the intersection of performance and technical production, the course prepares you to be a versatile contributor to the creative economy, capable of managing your own career or working within established production teams.
