The BA (Hons) in Physical Education Studies at TUS Athlone offers a distinct, multi-disciplinary approach to human movement, wellness, and the business of sport. Rather than a traditional teacher-training degree, this programme is built for those aspiring to leadership roles in the sports industry, health management, and community-based physical activity programmes.

The curriculum is uniquely balanced, integrating 60 ECTS of business-specific modules alongside core studies in coaching theory, anatomy, and movement analysis. This structure ensures graduates are equipped with the professional acumen to manage sports organisations, design health-focused initiatives, and implement inclusive activity strategies. Students benefit from a strong emphasis on applied learning, featuring an integrated work placement or study abroad opportunity in the third year, and a final-year consultancy project that bridges academic theory with real-world industry challenges.
