Bachelor in 컴퓨터공학부(컴퓨터공학전공)

For Bachelor in 컴퓨터공학부(컴퓨터공학전공), tuition fees are 8,680,000 KRW per year.

The Department of Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering track (컴퓨터공학부, 컴퓨터공학전공), at Gachon University covers the design and development of both computer hardware and software. Coursework in this discipline typically includes programming languages, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, digital logic design, and computer networks, giving students a grounding in how computing systems are built from the circuit level up through applications software. Students often complete hands-on projects involving embedded systems, microprocessors, or software development to apply what they learn in the classroom. Because computer engineering sits between electrical engineering and computer science, graduates are prepared for a wide range of roles, including software developer, hardware engineer, systems engineer, firmware developer, and network engineer, at companies ranging from consumer electronics manufacturers to software firms and telecommunications providers. Some graduates continue to graduate study in computer engineering or related fields such as artificial intelligence or robotics to specialize further. This bachelor's degree is offered at Gachon University in Seongnam, South Korea, with instruction in English, allowing international students to study computer engineering without needing Korean-language ability. The program runs over four years and begins with the Fall 2026 intake. Being based in Seongnam, near Seoul, places students close to South Korea's electronics and technology sector, giving them access to internships and industry connections in a country recognized for its semiconductor, mobile device, and telecommunications industries.
