Bachelor in Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering combines electrical engineering and computer science to prepare students to design and build both the hardware and software layers of computing systems. Core coursework typically includes circuit theory, digital logic design, computer architecture, and embedded systems, paired with programming, data structures and algorithms, and operating systems coursework more commonly associated with computer science. Students study how hardware and software interact, from processor design and microcontrollers to the operating systems and low-level code that run on them, giving a systems-level view of computing that pure software programs often do not cover in the same depth. Laboratory work is a significant part of the degree, involving hands-on work with circuits, microcontrollers, and embedded devices alongside software projects, and later coursework often extends into areas such as networks, signal processing, and increasingly robotics or Internet of Things systems. Team-based design projects are common, asking students to build working systems that integrate hardware and software components. Graduates pursue careers in hardware design, embedded systems development, network engineering, and general software roles across technology, telecommunications, automotive, and electronics industries, as well as further graduate study in computer or electrical engineering.
