Bachelor in BSc Honours Midwifery with Foundation Year

Tuition fees are 10,050 GBP per year.

This programme offers a distinct, immersive approach to midwifery education, centered on a unique caseloading model where students are allocated a small group of expectant mothers. This allows you to experience the long-term journey of providing care, including the significant responsibility of being on call for the birth. The course balances 50% theoretical study with 50% clinical practice, ensuring you graduate ready to act as a lead professional for women, newborns, and their families.

Designed for those who require additional preparation for degree-level study, the Foundation Year provides a supportive bridge into the BSc (Hons) curriculum. You will benefit from cutting-edge learning technologies, including Oxford Medical Simulation virtual reality software, which allows you to practice complex clinical scenarios in a safe, digital environment. The curriculum is deeply rooted in UNICEF Baby Friendly standards and emphasizes interprofessional collaboration, ensuring you learn alongside students from various health and social care disciplines to mirror the integrated nature of modern maternity services.
