6 Month, 200-Hour Power Lab

Tuition is CAD 6,145 per intake.

This course prepares individuals to meet the practical experience requirement for 4th Class Power Engineering certification. It is designed for those who have completed the ABSA 4th Class theory courses (Parts A and B) but still need six months of hands-on steam time. Students gain real-world skills in operating and maintaining industrial power systems, which are essential for working in power plants and industrial facilities.

The program delivers training through in-person, full-day sessions from Monday to Friday. You will work directly with high-pressure boilers, turbines, compressors, and other key equipment. The focus is on safe operation, system maintenance, and responding to emergencies. The course structure includes multiple intakes throughout the year, each lasting about six weeks.

To qualify, you must have completed ABSA 4th Class Parts A and B theory. No prior work experience is required. After finishing the lab, you can take the ABSA 4A and 4B certification exams. The course does not lead to a degree but fulfills a key step toward full certification in power engineering.
