Master in Academic English Qualification

Tuition fees are 1,500 GBP per year.

Attaining a certificate of performance that is valid for 25 months, students on the Academic English Qualification Courses (AEQC) gain a rigorous, evidence-based assessment of their reading, writing, listening, and speaking proficiency. These summer short courses are specifically tailored for undergraduate students who use English as an additional language and are looking to bridge the gap toward Master's level study at an English-medium university.

By engaging with these courses, participants move beyond general language acquisition to master the nuanced communication skills required for postgraduate academic environments. Whether aiming to meet the specific language requirements for a degree at the University of St Andrews or building a portfolio for applications elsewhere, students benefit from a structured curriculum that maps directly to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
