Bachelor in Acoustics

Tuition fees are 16,750 GBP per year.

Deepen your expertise in the physics and application of sound through the BSc (Hons) Acoustics. This programme bridges the gap between theoretical acoustic principles and the practical demands of modern industry, preparing graduates for roles in environmental noise control, architectural design, and advanced audio technology. You will engage with complex challenges—from the precise control of sound in concert halls to the development of sophisticated digital signal processing effects—ensuring you are ready to meet the rising global demand for skilled acoustic engineers.

Industry-Integrated Learning

The curriculum is designed to mirror professional practice, leveraging strong partnerships with organisations such as RBA Acoustics, KP Acoustics, and Meridian Audio. Through guest masterclasses, industry-standard software training, and site visits, you will gain exposure to real-world projects. The programme places a significant emphasis on sustainability, ethical practice, and collaborative engineering, ensuring that your technical skills are supported by the professional maturity required in the workplace.

Students have the flexibility to pursue a three-year full-time route, a four-year version with an integrated placement year, or a part-time study option. By combining hands-on laboratory measurements with rigorous academic study, the course builds a comprehensive foundation in building acoustics, electroacoustics, and environmental noise management.
