This program focuses on technical and interpersonal skills for administrative roles in business offices. Students learn to use current software, manage information, events, and projects. They develop communication abilities and practical office competencies. The curriculum emphasizes real-world application through performance demonstrations.

One-year (three-term) certificate program with 15 credits per term. Includes a mandatory 3-credit, unpaid, 4-week field placement at the end of the program.

Graduates enter roles as administrative assistants in various office environments.

Credit in English Language Arts 30-1 or minimum 65% in English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalent. Credit in Grade 10 Math (excluding Math 10-4 and Math 16). Or successful GED with minimum scores: Language Arts 520, Math 450. Or satisfactory results on Bow Valley College Admission and Placement Test. Minimum keyboarding speed of 25 words per minute is strongly recommended.

On-campus, full-time, three terms per year.
