About Advanced Care Paramedic

The Advanced Care Paramedic program is a two-year on-campus diploma offered at the Regina and Saskatoon campuses. It builds on prior Primary Care Paramedic training and provides advanced skills in medical and trauma emergencies. Students receive hands-on training in labs and simulations, and complete field and hospital-based practicums. The program uses flexible delivery options including in-person, virtual, and asynchronous learning.

Two years, full-time, on-campus. Includes 50 mandatory evaluation dates and up to 165 days of attendance. Features field and clinical practicums, lab and simulation training, and inter-professional education.

Graduates work as advanced care paramedics in emergency medical services, industrial settings, collaborative emergency centres, and community roles.

Primary Care Paramedic certification from an accredited program or equivalent. Must be registered under the 2011 National Occupational Competency Profile for Paramedics. Requires ITLS Provider certificate and Basic Life Support Provider certification. International applicants must meet English language requirements.

On-campus, full-time, two years.
