The programme’s independent prescribing element is accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council, giving graduates a practice certificate and eligibility to be listed as independent prescribers on the GPhC register.

It is delivered over three years of part-time blended learning. Year 1 provides core knowledge in clinical pharmacy, evidence-based medicine and public health. Year 2 offers a choice of optional modules such as integrated care, acute and emergency care, mental health, leadership, and the independent prescribing qualification. Year 3 focuses on research, complex patient care and a final independent project, culminating in an MSc or PGDip.
